The Listening Archive
The Listening Archive is a concept based on a subscription service to analog music content, with the goal of creating a nostalgic and informative experience about the art of physical music. With the rise in physical media for music, The Listening Archive aims to inroduce newcomers, while still apealing to sentimental audiophiles. The box would regularly contain items including 8 track tapes, cassettes, vinyl records, and CDs.
This mockup kit focuses on the first box a subscriber would receive after registering for the service. The box includes 3 different forms of physical music (vinyl, cassette, and CD), a CD case, and collectible themed guitar picks. These artifacts, along with a printed booklet inspired by 80s and 90s design, will lead the audience though an engaging and entertaining introduction into the world of physical music.
